Built in 41 months and officially opened on April 21, 1960, Brasilia is one of the most controversial architectural projects in the world. The, city seen from above, resembles an airplane: in the project, by urban planner Lúcio Costa, his wings are divided in Superquadras, large residential areas interspersed with churches, schools and shopping centers. The fuselage, Eixo Rodoviário, is an high speed avenue punctuated by impressive modernist buildings by architect Oscar Niemeyer.

In this gigantic plane, men take the size of tiny, spaesate creatures.
